Let’s get the kids in the kitchen! Many kids are naturally drawn to the kitchen and in the Kids in the Kitchen classes they will have the opportunity to learn kitchen skills and kid-friendly recipes in a fun, safe, and encouraging environment with guest instructor, former camp counselor, and mom of 3, Gina Prescott.
In this online class, Gina will be guiding kids in a Hands-on Experience as they learn to make a healthy meal for their fmaily. From Peanut Noodles packed with nutrients to quick and customizable Fruit Spring Rolls, your kids will have a blast putting on their aprons, rolling up their sleeves, and learning healthy eating habits! Kids/parents will get a list of ingredients and prep to make before class starts.
You and your child will be cooking together at home to prepare dinner for the family. Worksheets, activities, and recipes will be emailed out before class.

About the instructor:
Gina Prescott was born and raised in Yakima with a brood of siblings. Returning to the valley four years ago, she felt rejuvenated by all that our valley has to offer. With her husband and three sons she has rediscovered the joy that comes with the valleys accessibility to fresh, healthy and delicious produce. As a mom with a crew full of energetic boys (her husband included!), Gina saw meal time as a means to connect and strengthen family relationships while building healthy eating habits. Gina has found a passion for creating simple, tasty meals and a positive food environment- even if there is a selective eater at the table! You can find Gina on instagram @sagebrushkids, where she shares tips and ideas about how to enjoy the Yakima Valley with your family!
